October Goals

Although I missed the first of October, I thought I’d chronicle this month’s goals.

Each month in my bullet journal, I create a list of goals for the following categories: Life, Diet, Financial, and Fitness. Creating small goals makes it easier for me to accomplish them; this is the method that works for me, and hopefully it will for you too!

Each month I also pick a motivational quote that becomes my mantra for the time being. For October, I chose a quote by Jim Rohn. “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”

Below are this month’s goals:

LIFE

1. Be more grateful for your opportunities.

2. Leave the past behind.

3. Be more appreciative of the sacrifices of others.

4. Commit to adding elements of the waste free mindset into my lifestyle.

DIET

1. Consume less sodium, and avoid adding salt to prepared foods.

2. Kick the addiction: begin weaning off coffee and other caffeinated beverages.

3. Focus on food as fuel for a healthy lifestyle, not as a means to comfort.

4. Think sustainably: make mindful choices about food and how it effects the environment.

FINANCIAL

1. No using PayPal to impulse buy items I don’t need.

2. No skincare purchases – pull from the already hefty stockpile!

3. No eating out – make and prepare all food while at home. Traveling for work is an exception.

4. Save, save, save!

FITNESS

1. Ban discouragement.

2. Stretch every day, three times daily.

3. Stay loyal to training.

4. Leave excuses behind – it’s time to make a change.
